There are not too many people who don’t like a recipe with potato. I’ve collected two weeks’ worth of vegan air fryer recipes with both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes that you will want to put on your menu. These are all so tempting that you may end up having air fryer recipes with potatoes every single day for the next 14 days.
1. Air Fryer Potato Tacos
Holy crap these look good! They are like perogies, but cumin flavored and air fried. All you need to do is mash some potatoes with the seasonings, heat your tortilla, fill the tortillas, seal them with a toothpick and brush with oil. Then pop them in your air fryer and wait for them to be ready. Get the full recipe here.
2. Air Fried Vegan Mashed Potato Balls
Leftover mashed potatoes are good as is, but when you roll them up and put them in the air fryer, they become little fried balls that can be dipped into a sauce and eaten by hand, which makes it all much more fun and tasty. This recipe calls for aquafaba as a binder between the nutritional yeast and bread crumb mixture, but I wonder if applesauce would work just as well? I just used water with a little flour and it came out just fine.
3. Air Fryer Garlic Fries
Her pictures make you drool before you even begin cooking! These garlic fries look amazing. They remind me of the fries I used to get Earls that went really well with a garlic aioli dipping sauce. Get the recipe here.
4. Air Fryer Sweet Potato Chips
I don’t know if sweet potato chips are healthier than regular potato chips, but I do know that when you use an air fryer to make your chips, you are definitely making things a little healthier. So if you crave chips and you like sweet potatoes, then this may be your healthier vegan air fryer go-to recipe for chips. Check it out here.
5. Vegan Air Fryer Hash Recipe
No vegan air fryer recipes with potatoes list would be complete without some sort of hash browns. At least I call them hash browns. The author of this recipe uses both sweet potato and russet potato and simply calls the finished product ‘breakfast hash’. No matter what you call it, this recipe is worth trying.
6. Vegan Potato Fritters With Sweet Potato
This is another sweet potato air fryer recipe. There’s no aquafaba needed for this recipe, but it does call for chickpea flour. Note: If you have a Vitamix and some chickpeas, you can simply whiz them up quickly to make some flour.
7. Sweet And Spicy Potatoes Made In The Air Fryer!
If you are like me, and like a lot of flavor in your potatoes, then you are going to like these sweet and spicy air-fried potatoes. She uses maple syrup and sriracha sauce to give that sweet and spicy flavor – two ingredients that I always have on hand because they go so well together. Check out this recipe here.
8. Spicy Potato Sliders (See Note)
Apparently these are a popular street food served in Mumbai that is served in a bun with sauces. Yummy! People in Mumbai eat this at any time of day, and so should we! Potato tempered with spices is formed into balls and dipped into chickpea flour batter before they go into the air fryer and then it’s up to you to decide what sauce you want to serve them with. Meeta, the author of the recipe has some suggestions for you. NOTE: This recipe includes Ghee or Butter, so you will need to replace that with vegan butter or oil to make the recipe vegan. But, I still wanted to include it in this list of vegan air fryer recipes that use potatoes because I know that this could become your next favorite recipe if you are a fan of spices, as I am. That’s the beauty of being vegan, we can make a lot of nonvegan recipes vegan easily and then teach other people how to do the same. 😉 Check out the recipe here.
9. Air Fryer Taquitos With Spicy Sweet Potato And Black Beans
Feel like some finger food that includes potatoes? Have some black beans and tortillas on hand? Then this is the recipe for you. She even includes a vegan crema recipe that you can dip these into; although, I imagine they would be good with vegan sour cream or salsa – or pretty much any other dip you have on hand. 😉 Check out the recipe here.
10. Air Fried Vegan Korokke
Korokke is the Japanese version of potato croquettes. These are fried balls with vegan beef, vegan cheese, carrots, onions, and potato coated in breadcrumbs, flour, and vegan milk. Try dipping these into a vegan Worchester sauce. Learn how to make this recipe here.
11. Hasselback Potatoes In The Air Fryer
Let’s face it, Hasselbeck potatoes are just more fun than whole potatoes without slits in them. Right? These Hasselbeck potatoes are stuffed with mushrooms and brushed with oil. You can get the recipe here.
12. The Best Air Fryer Baked Potato
Not long ago, I used an oven to bake my potatoes, but not anymore. The air fryer has made it so easy to cook a baked potato while you cook other things in the oven or when you don’t want to use the oven because your house is already too hot. This recipe is easy and topped with the spices that we all love on our potatoes – garlic and parsley.
13. Potato Wedges With Vegan Cheese Sauce
To me, potato wedges are a combination of potato skins and fries. They have the best of both worlds. Crispy skin with a thick, soft center. Best of all, this recipe includes a cheese sauce to drizzle (drench) over top of your wedges. Check it out here.
14. Spanish Potatoes
Last but not least, is one of the vegan air fryer recipes using potatoes that will add a side spicy potato dish to any meal. Of course, you must like paprika in order to make these potatoes because the recipe calls for both hot smoked paprika and smoked Spanish paprika. I left this recipe for last so that you have time to order those two spices if you don’t already have them. 😉 Check out the recipe here.
